Yet, Google said it had dumped the naming plan since it made it hard for shoppers to know which variant of the OS was the most recent.
The new version, which will be discharged not long from now, will be called Android 10.
Past forms of the portable working framework have been nicknamed Jellybean, Kitkat and Lollipop.

As models, Google said L and R were "not discernable when communicated in certain dialects".
