Android trench sweets as Q winds up 10

The following adaptation of the Android working framework (OS) won't be named after a pastry or sweet treat, finishing a convention that began in 2009.

Following the example, the name of the new form would have begun with Q.

Yet, Google said it had dumped the naming plan since it made it hard for shoppers to know which variant of the OS was the most recent.

The new version, which will be discharged not long from now, will be called Android 10.

Past forms of the portable working framework have been nicknamed Jellybean, Kitkat and Lollipop.

"This naming convention has a great time some portion of the discharge every year," Google said in a blog.

"In any case, we've heard criticism throughout the years that the names weren't constantly comprehended by everybody in the worldwide network."

As models, Google said L and R were "not discernable when communicated in certain dialects".

"As a worldwide working framework, it's significant that these names are clear and relatable for everybody on the planet," it said.
